I’ve just started doing monthly Ibiza dispatches for the excellent Mr & Mrs Smith blog. My first is on alfresco winter dining…
The holidays are bearing down with freight-train inevitability so naturally, I’ve been thinking about food. My national origins call for turkey-gobbling in November, but here in Ibiza the sun is still shining and the emphasis is on fresh, organic food. Our neighbours have orange trees sporting fruit the size of softballs, a few late figs are ripening and my daily run takes me past fields of flowering potato plants and rows of ruby red peppers.
Among the best places to taste the island’s delicious home-grown vegetables are traditional Ibicenco restaurants like Cami de Balafia…

Lost in thought, but never for words
Cila Warncke is my face to the world. Originally created as a sort of virtual CV, it’s been sitting neglected since April. Cuttings are static, life isn’t. So this updated version will incorporate the day-in-day-out stuff that isn’t appropriate to my political blog, Irresponsibility, or Comm Central, my business site.
At the moment on Cila Warncke you’ll mostly be subjected to random updates about life in Merida, where I’m currently holed up writing about Britney Spears and any peripherally related nonsense that takes my fancy.
There will also be much back-linking and cross-referencing with my other blogs, outlined below.

Irresponsibility is my personal (feminist, socialist, progressive, agnostic, rebel) blog. In which I mostly level my lance at the lazily turning sails of patriarcapitalism and its attendant evils.
I also run electronic music blog Rave Nu World and contribute to Oxford feminist magazine Agendered.
